Pleasant Hill Christian Church believes in following the teachings of the Bible through preaching and ministries. PLEASANT HILL CHRISTIAN CHURCH We Believe.... We believe in one God who is three persons--Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things. ( Genesis 1:1 , Matthew 28:19 , 2 Corinthians 13:14 ) We believe in Jesus Christ , God’s only Son, who died on the cross for our sins and was raised from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8 ) We believe in the Holy Spirit , who begins to dwell within us at baptism, who convicts us and equips us for growth and service. (John 16:8-9 , Acts 2:38 , Ephesians 1:13-14 ) We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and our final authority. (2 Timothy 3:16-17 , 2 Peter 1:21 ) We believe that God created man with free will and man willfully sins against God. Sin separates man from God and man is lost without Jesus Christ. Directions for using and donating to the free pantry on our campus PLEASANT HILL CHRISTIAN CHURCH Helping neighbors in need! You have probably noticed the addition of a couple of red trimmed boxes on poles in the parking lot near the playground. Those are our Free Little Pantries - -a new addition to our Benevolence Program! The Free Little Pantries are intended to provide a discreet way for us to share non-perishable food items and essential hygiene products with community members who need them. Free Little Pantries show up in communities nationwide to address a need for emergency food assistance, and we are excited to participate with our own Free Little Pantry. They provide an option for folks who can’t get to a larger pantry or to a food bank by offering some immediate help. Our Free Little Pantry program is here to help those in need -- anonymously, no questions asked, no signing up, and a convenient place to go. People are sometimes reluctant to ask for help, and this gives a discreet way to provide them with help. The program encourages needy people to "Take what you need and be blessed " , and church members to "Share as you are able." We have been trying to determine what food and other products are most in need for our neighbors. We started with a determined inventory of items, and volunteers have checked weekly to see what is being used, what is not, and to restock what has been taken. Based on our observation over the last few weeks, the most used items have been food items that can be eaten with very minimal or no preparation, and some basic hygiene products. Below are items that are particularly in demand: Canned meats [tuna, Vienna sausages, Spam] Cans of soup or stew Pre-made meals to be heated Cans of pastas and other ready to eat meals Breakfast cereal Peanut butter Jelly Macaroni & cheese Fruit cups Small bags of nuts, pretzels, etc. Feminine products Hygiene products [toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo] The Free Little Pantries are small, so they cannot stock the quantity and variety other food pantries can. If you want to be involved, you can leave some items from the suggested list or you can make a donation specified for the Free Little Pantry, and the funds will be used to purchase replacement items. The Free Little Pantries are another way we can show God’s love in our community!

Donations to the Dollar Club go toward helping those who have a specific immediate need. PLEASANT HILL CHRISTIAN CHURCH Dollar Club Here's How It Works A donation box at the entry to the sanctuary gives everyone the opportunity to give a dollar (or any amount.) These dollars will be pulled together and used to meet the needs of our friends and neighbors. This can be a good way for parents to teach their children to show love to others by donating. How the money is used Sometimes people have a need for which just a little bit of help could make a big difference. Maybe you have a neighbor who cannot afford a car seat, a student who needs school supplies, or a co-worker who needs help filling a prescription. You may know the need but not have the resources to help. That’s where the Dollar Club may be able to step in and help you meet the need. Make a request If you have a need or know of a need, you can click below to fill out a request form. This form will be forwarded to a team of volunteers who keep track of our Dollar Club resources, pray for every request, and allocate resources. REQUEST FORM FAQ How do I give my dollar? You can designate it on your in-person giving, online, or use the “Love Where You Live ” stand in our foyer. Am I expected to give to the Dollar Club? No, this is all on a voluntary basis. Can I give more than a dollar? Of course! Will every request be approved? The Dollar Club team will approve as many requests as they can. While this team wants to help you to help others, they also will be good stewards of all resources that have been given. There may be times that the team redirects the need to other community groups who may be able to help. Does this replace our benevolence ministry? No, our benevolence team has a different focus and guidelines that they use to meet needs inside and outside the church family. There will be times when the two teams work together. Will I hear of ways the Dollar Club is making a difference? Absolutely! We want to celebrate together. Every month we will highlight ways the Dollar Club is making a difference.
